Rotation lives on Bindery’s page board: every page renders as a real thumbnail, so you can see exactly which scans came in sideways. Select a page, tap Rotate 90° until it stands upright, fix as many pages as you need — and reorder or delete along the way if the document needs it.
The rotation is written into the PDF itself, so the pages open upright in every viewer afterwards. Bindery runs entirely in your browser — your file is never uploaded, so there is nothing to delete from a server afterwards.

Fixing orientation for good
A page that opens sideways is usually a scan fed in the wrong way or a landscape table inside a portrait report. Rotating it in a viewer changes only what you see; the file still opens sideways for everyone else. Bindery writes the rotation into the page itself, so the corrected orientation is permanent and shows in every viewer, on every device, and when printed.
- Per page: rotate only the sideways scans and leave the rest untouched.
- 90° steps: tap once for a quarter turn, twice for upside-down pages.

Rotation is lossless
The page content is not re-rendered. Bindery stores the new orientation as a page attribute and copies the content unchanged, so text remains selectable, images keep their resolution, and the file size barely changes. This also means a rotated page keeps its original dimensions — a landscape scan rotated upright is still the same sheet of paper, just displayed correctly.
If the pages are also skewed by a few degrees, faint, or speckled, rotation will not fix that. Run Clean scanned PDF after rotating: it deskews small angles and lifts contrast, and its output is ready for OCR.

Can I rotate just one page, not the whole document?
Yes. Rotation is per page on the board — fix only the sideways scans and leave the rest untouched.
Is the rotation permanent?
The new file stores the corrected orientation, so pages open upright in any PDF viewer. Your original file stays as it was.
Is my document uploaded to rotate it?
No. The page board, the previews and the rewrite all run in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere.
Can I rotate every page at once?
Rotation is per page: select a page, tap Rotate 90°, move to the next. Each tap is instant and the thumbnail turns with it, so a whole sideways scan is a few seconds of clicking rather than a re-scan.
Will the rotation show in Adobe Reader, Preview and phones?
Yes. The orientation is stored in the PDF page itself, which every viewer respects. It is not a viewer setting.
Does rotating reduce quality or increase file size?
No. Content is copied unchanged; only a page attribute changes. Text stays text and images keep their pixels.
