What every plan shares
- Every plan processes PDFs on your device; documents never reach Bindery’s servers unless you seal them yourself for a handoff, a signature request, a form link or a review.
- No account is needed for the free plan. Accounts exist so plans and shared settings can follow you.
- Payments run through Stripe. Cancel a subscription any time from the billing portal; the lifetime plan is a single payment.
- The referral program gives a friend their first Pro month free and puts a month of credit on your next invoice.

Questions people ask
Do I need Pro to use every tool?
No. Every tool is available on the free plan. Pro removes the daily meter of ten completed jobs and the caps on file size, OCR pages, pipeline batches, signature requests and form links.
What counts as a job?
One completed run of a tool that produces a file: a merge, a compression, an OCR pass. Cancelled runs do not count, and the meter resets at midnight UTC. The meter is counted in your browser, or against your account if you are signed in, and records nothing about the file.
Does paying change where my files go?
No. Paid plans unlock limits; they never route documents through a server. The optional features that move a document off your device — handoff links, signature requests, form links, team review — seal it on your device first, on every plan.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Write to [email protected] within 14 days of a charge and it is refunded. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time from the billing portal and stay active until the end of the period.
How does the referral program work?
Signed-in users get a link on their account panel. When someone goes Pro through it, they get their first month free and the referrer gets a month of credit on their next invoice.
What is the server license for?
bindery serve is the self-hosted HTTP API (also shipped as a Docker image). The community edition runs 200 jobs a day per server, which is plenty for personal use and evaluation. A license lifts the cap with a key that verifies offline; nothing on your server calls home.
