Photos taken with a phone are turned the way the camera held them and centred on A4 or Letter pages, several files for one document become one PDF, and each document is then unlocked, flattened, stripped of scripts and attachments and fitted under the per-file limit, which starts at 2 MB for you to change to the figure your portal states. Files are named with a pattern such as {last}_{first}_{doc}, so the passport comes out as Doe_Jane_Passport.pdf. The photo itself is handed over as the image it is, renamed, because portals set their own photo rules. You download a ZIP with every document and a checklist of what is ready, what is missing and what needs you. Nothing is uploaded, and the checklist is a common starting point, not any consulate’s official list.

How it works

  1. Open Application pack — the visa checklist is chosen — and drop your PDFs and photos
  2. Check where each file landed, add any document your application lists, and set the portal’s per-file limit and your name
  3. Build the pack and download the ZIP with every document named, sized and checked

Questions people ask

Does this follow my country’s official visa checklist?

No. It is a common starting point — passport, photo, bank statements, employment or income, itinerary, accommodation, insurance, invitation and cover letter — and only the passport, photo and bank statements are marked required. Add each document your application lists by typing its name under the checklist, leave out what it does not ask for, and set the limit it states. The checklist that comes with the pack shows what is ready, missing or needs you.

Will my visa photo be resized to the portal’s specification?

Not yet. Photo requirements differ widely — pixel dimensions, background, head size, file size — so the photo is handed over exactly as you took or had it made, only renamed. If it is over the per-file limit the checklist says so; use the portal’s own photo tool or a photo shop that follows its specification.

Are my passport and bank statements uploaded anywhere?

No. Placing, converting, checking, compressing and zipping all happen in your browser tab; the documents never leave your device and there is no server copy to delete. On the free plan a pack is one of your 3 jobs a day and PDFs carry a small “Made with Bindery” line on each page; Pro removes it.
