Before you download, the statement is checked against itself: each printed balance must follow from the one before, so a row read wrongly or lost at a page break is named. The CSV is UTF-8 with a byte-order mark so Excel shows accents, and cells that could run as formulas are made safe. The statement is read in your browser tab and never uploaded.
How it works
- Drop the statement PDF — CSV is already chosen
- Read the balance check and look at any row it names
- Download the CSV and import it
Questions people ask
Why does my CSV open with strange characters in Excel?
Excel guesses the encoding of a CSV. Bindery writes a byte-order mark at the start so Excel reads it as UTF-8, and accents and currency signs show correctly.
Can I get Excel instead?
Yes — choose Excel (.xlsx) before downloading. The workbook adds a Checks sheet listing the balance check and every mismatch.
Is the statement uploaded?
No. It is read, checked and converted on your device.
