Each document then gets the Court e-filing fix from Upload-ready: restrictions removed, fields flattened, scripts and attachments taken out, scanned pages given searchable text while today’s OCR allowance covers them, and the file fitted under the limit, which starts at 25 MB for you to change. Social Security, card and IBAN numbers and full dates of birth are flagged in the checklist for you to redact. You download a ZIP of the documents and a checklist of what is ready and what needs you. Bindery does not know your court’s rules and cannot promise acceptance; nothing is uploaded.

How it works

  1. Open Application pack — the court checklist is chosen — and drop the filing and its exhibits
  2. Order the exhibits, check where each file landed, and set your court’s size limit
  3. Build the pack and download the numbered, lettered, searchable PDFs with their checklist

Questions people ask

Can I add Bates numbers across the exhibits?

Stamp them first: in Pipelines, the “Batch Bates (separate PDFs)” recipe continues the numbering from one file to the next. Then add the stamped files to the pack, which keeps each page’s content, so the numbers carry through.

What if an exhibit has identifiers that must be redacted?

The checklist lists Social Security, card and IBAN numbers and full dates of birth it finds in each document, by page and last four digits. Open that exhibit in Redact to remove them, then put the redacted file back in the pack. Names are not detected, so check those yourself.

Does the free plan cover a whole filing?

A pack is one of your 3 free jobs a day, however many documents it holds. Files can be up to 25 MB each, scanned pages count toward the 5 free OCR pages a day, and PDFs carry a small “Made with Bindery” line on every page; Pro removes the line and the caps.
