Will a scan from the Drive scanner convert?
Not directly — a scan is a picture of a page with no text layer. Run Bindery’s OCR first to add a real text layer on the phone, in any of eleven languages, then convert. Bindery says when pages are image-only instead of producing a blank .docx.
Does converting on the phone send the file anywhere?
No. The .docx is built inside Chrome on the device; there is no upload endpoint for documents. Once Bindery has loaded you can switch to airplane mode and the conversion still completes, which is a simple way to confirm it.
