Bindery writes real JPGs at exactly 200 × 230 pixels and keeps the highest quality that fits under 50 KB; if the best file is under 20 KB, it is brought up to the minimum with an empty comment block that leaves the picture unchanged. The size is aimed inside both ways portals count a KB. If your notification gives other numbers — say 276 × 354 pixels or 10–40 KB — type them in and the rule becomes Custom; for a size in centimetres, see the question below on turning it into pixels. The photo never leaves your device.
How it works
- Choose the photo — the exam photo rule, 200 × 230 pixels and 20–50 KB, is already chosen
- Frame your face; change the numbers if your form states others
- Make the JPG and download it
Questions people ask
My form asks for 3.5 × 4.5 cm — how many pixels is that?
It depends on the resolution the form assumes. At 200 pixels per inch, 3.5 × 4.5 cm is about 276 × 354 pixels; many forms that give centimetres also give pixels or accept any size in that shape, so use the pixel numbers when the notification states them. Type them in Width and Height, and the frame takes that shape.
What does the photo need to look like?
That depends on the form — commonly a recent photo, face centred, plain light background. Bindery sizes and compresses the photo you give it; it does not change the background or the lighting.
Is it free?
Yes. Making a JPG is one of your 3 free jobs a day, with no account and no watermark on images. The photo is resized on your device and never uploaded.
