Matching reads each field’s name and the label its designer attached — “Given name(s)”, “Postcode”, “Date of birth (DD/MM/YYYY)” — including machine-made names such as form1[0].page1[0].Surname[0]. Fields about someone or something else are deliberately skipped: a spouse’s or parent’s name, an emergency contact’s phone, a referee’s email, a place or country of birth, a previous employer. A full name fills separate first- and last-name fields, and first and last names fill a full-name field. Dates go in exactly as you saved them, so store your date of birth in the format your forms usually ask for. The profile has no place for passport, ID or bank numbers. When the answers are right, fill the form, flatten it if it should not change, and download — all of it on your device.
How it works
- Open the fillable PDF in Fill forms, choose “My details…” and save your details once
- Press “Fill from my details” — matched empty fields fill in and are highlighted
- Check every highlighted answer, then fill the form — flattened if it should not change
Questions people ask
Where are my details stored?
In this browser’s local storage on this device, and nowhere else. They are not uploaded, not part of any account and not synced between devices, so another browser or device starts empty. “Forget my details” deletes them, and clearing the browser’s data for the site removes them too.
What if it fills the wrong field?
Every autofilled field is highlighted, and typing in it makes the answer yours again. Matching is conservative — fields about another person, a place of birth or an employer are skipped — but form designers name fields in unexpected ways, so read each highlighted answer before you fill the form.
Does it work on PDFs without fillable fields?
Not directly — autofill needs form fields. On a flat digital form, choose Find the fields first: Bindery proposes fields from the page’s lines, boxes and labels and names them from the printed labels, and once you have checked them, Fill from my details works on them as on a fillable PDF. Scanned forms are not supported yet; on a scan, add fields by hand with Create form, or type onto the page with Markup.
